In 1728 kom Gottfried HEYDENREICH (b 1704) in die Kaap aan. Sy tweede huwelik (met Johanna ROGIERS) lewer 8 kinders op en die meeste Heydenreichs (en Heydenrychs, Heidenrichs, ens.) in Suid-Afrika is waarskynlik afstammelinge van stamvader Gottfried. Hy keer in 1769 terug na Europa vir mediese behandeling en is waarskynlik daar oorlede.

In 1728 Gottfried HEYDEREICH (b1704) arrived in the Cape. His second marriage (with Johanna ROGIERS) produced 8 children and most Heydenreichs (and Heydenrychs, Heidenrichs, etc.) in South Africa probably are descendants of founding father Gottfried. He returned to Europe in 1769 for medical treatment and probably died there.

Ons hoop om die aanvanklike weergawe te kan baseer op ‘n omvattende boek van Carey Heydenrych oor die stamboom van die Heydenrychs en dan daarop voort te bou en die inligting lewendig te hou.
Hierdie is een van die hoofdoelwitte van die webwerf maar weens die hoeveelheid werk verbonde aan die omskakeling van ‘n papierweergawe na ‘n elektroniese databasis, kan dit waarskynlik geruime tyd neem om te implementeer.

Online version of the Heydenrych family tree that will make the information available to all interested people and allow for updating of the information. We hope to base the initial version on a comprehensive book on the South African Heydenrych’s family tree by Carey Heydenrych and to build on it and keep the information current.
This is one of the main goals of this web site but since it will take considerable effort to convert the paper based information to an electronic database, it will probably take considerable time.
